The wiring harness was too short, needed to be slightly modified to fit the water supply tube,etc. I would spend a few more dollars and buy the exact replacement next time. They are also advertised on Amazon. The dealer price on this item is $152 incidentally. I have a 15 year old Amana and didn't want to spend much, this product fit the bill. I got it today and installed in 30 minutes and a couple hours later I had ice. I use a mounting bracket from the old part and I used the old housing as well as it was a little skinner and allowed me to mount easier. I like that it is a hard plastic and not teflon coated as the old ice maker was. Happy at this point, if something changes I will post an update. |
