Only thing you don't get that the OEM filter includes (which is what kept me from giving it a five star rating), are the 12 month reminder stickers to replace the filter. Since our refrigerator is only a year old, this was the first replacement we needed to make and I was unsure about using a 'substitute' filter. The good news is that it took my husband seconds to install the filter and it works exactly as the original Samsung filter did. Since there is no indicator on the filter itself, we put the date of installation on it with a felt marker.
